The Courts were created for our protection by swearing oaths on the Wyrd. They guard the Lost, confuse the Gentry, and make it more difficult to be taken.

But what are the real benefits? How do the Courts protect against the Gentry? Other than knowledge and behavior, sometimes the Wyrd itself gives Blessings to save the Lost from the otherworldly needs of the Others.

SERE 2009 will grant every Court an opportunity to gain just such a blessing. The Court that raises the most money for the SERE charity will receive additional bonuses to aid themselves and their compatriots, and if the numbers get high enough, maybe even some extra goodies that will help keep away the Gentry and other enemies.
