  • ST Contacts
  • Venue Lead: Christopher “Kaoru” Hopkins

    Venue Narrators:

    • Angela Richter
    • Carl Richter
    • Rob Fowler
    • Michael Fortino
    • Chris Duesler

  • Special Note
  • This will be the first regional con for the new Lost venue, so we're going to be focusing largely on the motif of personal morality and the theme “How far will you go for victory?”. Please be aware that we'll be stretching the core concepts, but they will remain intact.

  • IC-Check in/Character Restrictions
  • Please review the UVSS for overall check in guidelines

Players should check in the following items with the Venue Staff by email sent to negisa@laughingpirates.com prior to midnight EST on Friday, February 20, 2009 if they plan to bring them into game:

    • Anything requiring a Top or Global approval (to include custom items)
    • Non standard weaponry
    • Cold Iron

All items must be accompanied by an approval number. Restrictions on these items may be set by the Venue Lead to help ensure game balance. Anything not checked in prior to February 20, 2009 will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

  • Non-Player Characters
  • NPCs not directly associated with the SERE 2009 Lost event will not be permitted.

  • Place/Time
  • This VSS is applicable to all sanctioned role-play in the Changeling: the Lost Genre, either ST-moderated or otherwise during SERE 2009, February 26th - March 1st. OOC, the ST moderated games will take place on Thursday February 26th from 6 pm to 10 pm and Friday February 27th from 10am to 2pm . In character, the event will be held at a hotel in Atlanta for the first day and a Hollow in the Hedge for the second. All those wishing to investigate the location of the gathering should contact the Venue Lead. More information about the location will be made available as we get closer to the event.

  • Theme
  • Man gives indifferent names to one and the same thing from the difference of their own passions; as they that approve a private opinion call it opinion; but they that mislike it, heresy: and yet heresy signifies no more than private opinion.” - Hobbes, Leviathan

  • Mood
  • For almost a year now, the Conspiracy of Sticks has been a part of the lives of the Lost. The death of Simon Eris has put its purpose in sharp relief, paranoia has surrounded its mission, and Lost have been meeting in secret with its members, who continue to provide assistance to the Lost without asking for anything in return. What's their angle? Why has Seeley Ogbanje been so consiliatory? And who is in charge of the Splinter Cell that seems to be acting without approval of the rest of the Conspiracy?

  • Venue Rules
  • The Lost venue for SERE 2009 uses the Camarilla Global rules addendum, and all appropriately sanctioned materials mentioned therein. Any item not covered in these sources is considered a custom approval item requiring Global approval. All characters will be assumed to have full glamour and willpower for the start of the game.

  • Proxy Rules
  • While proxy play is permitted by the Camarilla rules supplements, proxy characters are not allowed for SERE 2009.

  • Travel Risks
  • As the IC event is held in Atlanta, it may be important to consider how your character traveled to the IC location. However, no one who shows up should be stopped from playing due to travel risks. Please play and have fun.

  • Experience
  • Please see the Universal VSS.

  • Plot elements
  • In addition to the ratings below, please remember that a game is always what you make of it. This is especially true of the Lost Genre.
