The Intermediate Reformation Charter of
the Towers of Atlanta

We, the Citizens of Atlanta, establish these laws to guard our freedoms and ideals, and to protect one another in the peaceful pursuit of our Awakened goals. We recognize that with the current size of our city, attempting any form of government more complex or expansive would be too taxing and foolish.

To that end we have a system that is simple and empowering to all members.

  • All citizens of Atlanta have a responsibility to make this system work, ensuring that their voices and thoughts are heard. This also means when called upon by the city to aid it, they have a responsibility to heed that call.
  • The citizens may choose to empower one individual to act as Hierarch. Or not. The Hierarch represents the will of the combined citizens of Atlanta and serves only as long as the citizenship feels he or she should.
  • Minor offences are judged by at least three citizens. Major offenses must be judged by at least five citizens. All judgments are overseen by the Hierarch and all accused are given ample opportunity to defend themselves directly, or through a representative. Accused who are notified, but refuse to stand judgment or refuse to report in a reasonable time frame shall be judged in absentia. Guilt or innocence is determined by a majority vote. Sentencing is per the Lex Magica, however in the case of unprecedented sentences, the judgment panel with the Hierarch shall determine the punishment.
  • The Lex Magica may only be changed by a majority vote of the citizens. The Lex Magica will automatically be updated with new judgments everytime one is entered into record.
  • This charter is only in force until something better comes along and is voted in by a majority of the citizens.
